Who We Are

Supporting reintegration, recovery, and positive change across Dublin and the Midlands.

Introduction

Care After Prison (CAP) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2011, providing specialist support services for former prisoners in Ireland, individuals currently in prison, and families affected by imprisonment.

We understand that reintegration after prison can involve complex challenges including housing instability, unemployment, addiction, mental health difficulties, stigma, and isolation.

Our role is to ensure individuals and families have access to practical, person-centred support throughout this journey.

A Person-Centred Approach

Reintegration is complex and every person’s journey is different.
CAP provides holistic, practical support tailored to individual needs, focusing on dignity, trust, and long-term stability.
